DISCOVERY BAY, Calif. (KRON) — Crews have contained a brush fire in the Discovery Bay area on Wednesday evening.

The fire broke out in the area of Yellowstone Way around 6 p.m. and grew to about 15 acres, according to Cal Fire officials.

At this time, there is no cause of the fire, however, a few juveniles were seen running away from the scene.

Crews say the initial call was about two separate fires about 100-feet away from each other.

Officials continue to investigate.

Cal Fire crews were assisting the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District.
