NAPA (KRON) — Following a magnitude-4.1 earthquake in Yountville Thursday night, Caltrans has announced that a bridge over the Napa River sustained damage from the quake.

Friday, officials with Caltrans inspected the Oakville Crossroad Bridge and recommended the bridge be closed until it can be repaired or replaced.

The bridge is located between the Highway 29 and Silverado Trail.

Following the recommendation from Caltrans, Napa County Public works decided to close the bridge.

The bridge was already scheduled to be replaced this summer, and will remain closed until further notice.

Properties east of the bridge can be accessed from Silverado Trail and properties west of the bridge can be accessed from Highway 29. Motorists wishing to cross the valley floor in that area should make use of Yountville Cross Road or Rutherford Road (Highway 128).
