YOSEMITE (KRON) — Here is a sign that winter is on our doorstep–Yosemite National Park has closed its main roads for the season.
Tioga Road and Glacier Point Road are shut down due to snow.
The park says it received its first major snow storm earlier this week and the conditions are just too hazardous.
But if you still want to visit the park, stay at the campgrounds, eat at the restaurants, and check out the sites, Yosemite is open.
There are several other roads that are open year round.
These road closures are not unusual.
Here are Yosemite’s current conditions.
