SAN LEANDRO (KRON) – A woman is now a multi-millionaire after she won $3 million off of a scratcher she bought at a San Leandro gas station.

Lucille Guadarrama bought a $5 California Lottery Set For Life Scratchers last month at Crazy Charlie’s Fast Gas and Propane located at 13700 Catalina Street.

Guadarrama ended up winning the ticket’s top prize of $3 million, according to lottery officials.

“I saw ‘LIFE’ on one of the tickets and couldn’t believe it,” Guadarrama said. “I had to bring it into the California Lottery office to make sure.”

Guadarrama has not decided whether to take the lump-sum payment of $1.7 million or the annuity option of $10,000 a month for 25 years, which is $3 million in total.

“I plan on paying off some bills and taking a vacation or two,” the retail worker said.

Crazy Charlie’s Fast Gas and Propane will also receive a bonus of $15,000 for selling the winning ticket.
