MANCHESTER, England (KRON) — A British man will have to pay almost $400 in fines and sign the sex offender’s registry after being caught trying to have sex with a mailbox at a Manchester shopping center.
Witnesses say 45-year old Paul Bennett was walking towards the postbox with his trousers down and “making sexual advances towards it.”
Investigators say Bennett then rubbed himself against the box while holding his hands in the air and shouting “wow.”
Witnesses say when he completed the act he pulled his pants back up and started swinging from a lamppost.
By the time constables arrived, they say Bennett had his pants off again. While they arrested him he started shouting at the officers and witnesses.
Bennett was convicted of two counts of indecent exposure. He was ordered to pay restitution to a woman who witnessed the whole thing and court costs. He must also undergo a year’s worth of treatment for alcoholism.
