FREMONT (KRON) — A woman was sexually assaulted while walking in Fremont, according to police.
The alleged sexual battery happened at around 3:11 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of Liberty and Walnut. The woman was walking on Liberty when the suspect came up from behind and touched her inappropriately, police said.
The suspect talked with the victim briefly before she turned and walked in the opposite direction. The suspect was last seen walking away crossing Walnut Avenue, police said.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, wearing a white shirt and light yellow pants.
