SANTA CRUZ (BCN) — Police are looking for a woman seen on video stealing mail from a Santa Cruz home and telling the homeowner she was looking for an Airbnb.
Around 6 p.m. Tuesday, the woman went to the front door of a home in the 700 block of Escalona Drive where she rang a doorbell and took items from the mailbox when no one answered right away, police said.
A resident then spoke through the home’s intercom and asked the woman what she needed, according to police.
The woman claimed she was looking for a home from an online listing on Airbnb and left with the mail, police said.
The suspect is described as a woman between 20 and 30 years old who was seen wearing a black tank top, jeans and glasses, according to police.
