PLEASANTON (KRON) — A woman was robbed by suspects with a gun outside of the Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton on Sunday afternoon, police said.
Police responded around 1:28 p.m. to a report of an armed robbery in a parking lot of the Stoneridge Mall, located at 1000 Stoneridge Mall Road, according to police.
The 63-year-old woman was standing by her car when she was approached by three suspects, police said.
One of the suspects grabbed the victim’s purse. The victim tried to pull back on the purse when another suspect brandished either a rifle or a shotgun.
The woman fell to the ground and a suspect kicked her in the back before fleeing with her purse, according to police.
The victim sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.
The suspects fled the scene in a cream-colored Mercedes SUV. Witnesses saw the suspect vehicle enter westbound I-580.
All three suspects are described as Black males between 18 and 20 years of age with medium builds wearing dark colored jackets or sweatshirts.
