CASTRO VALLEY (KRON) — A woman was killed in a one-alarm house fire in Castro Valley Tuesday morning, Alameda County fire officials said.
Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 1800 block of Grove Way at about 2:44 a.m.
Crews were able to extinguish the blaze within 10 minutes. A firefighter sustained a minor injury while battling the blaze and has been taken to a local hospital.
The fire started in the one-story home’s attic and remained contained to the residence, fire officials said.
No one else was in the home at the time of the fire.
