SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A woman was struck and seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision Saturday morning in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood.

The pedestrian, described as a woman in her 30s, was struck by a white Budget rental van on the corner of Divisadero and O’Farrell streets around 10:45 a.m., according to police.

Police said the woman was standing on the corner waiting to cross the street when the driver of the van made a right turn and hit her.

The driver of the rental van fled the scene after the accident, according to police.

The pedestrian suffered head trauma and internal injuries. She was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police are still looking for the suspect, but have not yet released a description.
