CONTRA COSTA COUNTY (KRON) — A woman has escaped from Contra Costa County jail on Friday evening, Martinez police said on Twitter.
Police said they were looking for a black female, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing black pants and a gray sweatshirt. She was handcuffed, police said.
The search for the suspect has been called off due to the original crimes being simple, non-violent misdemeanors, police said.
