LOS GATOS (KRON) — A woman was struck and killed on state Highway 85 in Los Gatos late Tuesday night, according to California Highway Patrol.
The collision was first reported at 10:44 p.m. on Hwy 85 just north of Winchester Boulevard, CHP officials said.
The 25-year-old woman was walking in the southbound lanes of Hwy 85 when a 2002 Toyota Corolla struck her, according to authorities.
After the initial collision, a 2003 Honda Civic struck the pedestrian a second time.
The collision closed down two lanes of the highway and the Winchester Boulevard off-ramp for about two hours.
A Sig-alert was issued at 11:43 p.m. Tuesday night. all lanes were reopened around 1:37 a.m. Wednesday morning and the alert was cancelled.
Alcohol was not a factor in the collision, according to the CHP.
