SANTA ROSA (KRON/BCN) — A woman who was seriously injured in a vehicle collision in east Santa Rosa earlier this month has died of her injuries, Santa Rosa police said Monday.
Police were informed Saturday by the Sonoma County coroner’s office that 85-year-old Beverly Winham Ludwig died at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Sgt. Mike Numainville said.
A 21-year-old Sonoma resident was driving a white 2006 Dodge Ram truck east on Montecito Boulevard near Benicia Drive around 10:15 a.m. on Jan. 10, Numainville said.
Ludwig was driving a 2007 green Toyota Prius north on Benicia Drive and was making a left turn onto westbound Montecito Boulevard when the two vehicles collided in the intersection, Numainville said.
Ludwig suffered very serious injuries and was listed in critical condition at the hospital last week.
Police said it does not appear alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The collision is still under investigation, Numainville said.
