PETALUMA (KRON) — A Petaluma woman wanted for a previous DUI was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of another DUI, police said.
Salinas Cortes, 35, was arrested around 3:36 p.m. in the 1500 block of East Washington Street on suspicion of DUI, driving on a suspended license, and for a no-bail warrant, according to police.
A police officer pulled Cortes over after noticing she was driving without a seatbelt, police said.
After the traffic stop, the officer ran a record check on Cortes and learned she had an outstanding no-bail warrant from a DUI in 2007, had a suspended license and was on probation.
Police said Cortes smelled of alcohol and admitted to drinking three large beers.
She was required to provide a breath sample and had a .13 percent blood-alcohol level, above the legal limit of .08 percent, police said.Bay City News contributed to this report
