CONCORD (KRON)—Police have arrested a 27-year-old woman for stabbing a man inside a Concord park Monday night.

The incident was reported to police around 5:45 p.m. at Ellis Lake Park.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a man with several stab wounds that were not life-threatening.

The man told police a woman he knew stabbed him and left. He then gave officers a description of what she looked like.

Officers found a woman matching the man’s description at the Concord BART Station and arrested her, police said.

The name of the woman has not been released.

She was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.

The crime is not related to domestic violence, according to police.
