COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A Columbus woman is being held on $750,000 bond after allegations that she raped three children.
Amorita Griffey, 25, appeared in Franklin County Municipal Court on Tuesday morning, facing three counts of rape of a child under 13. The charge is a first-degree felony.
According to court documents, police received a report of possible sexual abuse on May 21, 2018, involving Griffey and three boys. Two of the victims were 11 years old and the third victim was 10 years old.
When interviewed, according to court documents, each boy told police Griffey had performed oral sex on them at a house on Ripplebrook Road on May 19. When Griffey was interviewed by police on May 29, court documents note she confessed to doing so in her backyard at that house.
Asked why she did it, Griffey said the boys asked her to.
Griffey was charged and arrested on June 4. A judge set her bond at $750,000 on Tuesday and ordered her to have no contact with the victims. She is due back in court on June 14.
