Snowfall over the two passes on Interstate 80 and Highway 50 will make conditions slippery. If you are thinking about going to Tahoe this weekend the National Weather Service suggests heading up there on Saturday evening as opposed to Sunday morning.
In the higher elevations, the Tahoe area will get up to 18 inches of snow before the weekend is over.
Planning to drive I-80/hwy 50 over the Sierra this weekend? To avoid a possibly long and snowy drive, consider leaving by Saturday eve.
