A jackpot-winning $1.6 billion Mega Millions ticket was sold in South Carolina, state officials announced on Tuesday.
The winning numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing were 28-70-5-62-65 with a Mega Ball of 5–and a Megaplier of 3.
If nobody had won the jackpot, it would have grown to an estimated $2 billion for Friday’s drawing.
There is no word yet on if there are any other jackpot winners.
One ticket in San Francisco matched 5 of 6 numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing.
Overall in California, there were eight tickets sold that matched 5 of 6 numbers.
California lottery officials announced there were no jackpot winners in the state.
