LOS ANGELES (KRON) — William Shatner is taking a tour of the country on a three-wheeled motorcycle.
On Monday, the “Star Trek” star announced his plans to travel the country to raise awareness about the American Legion, and also to promote his custom motorcycle.
Shatner partnered with motorcycle builder American Wrench to develop the Rivet motorcycle. According to American Wrench, the three-wheeled motorcycle was inspired by the B-17 bomber.
The iconic actor’s eight-day journey won’t be coming to the Bay Area. Shatner will launch his tour on June 23 outside Chicago. The tour will stop in St. Louis, Kansas City, Missouri, Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Albuquerque, Flagstaff and Las Vegas before he arrives in Los Angeles seven days later.
Joining Shatner on his 2,400 mile tour will be members of the American Legion and American Wrench crew.
The company announced that it will be selling a limited number of the Rivet motorcycle.
