WATSONVILLE (KRON) — Police are investigating an incident in Watsonville in which a man was badly beaten by several assailants Tuesday night.
Officers responded at 5:23 p.m. to 61 Coolidge Ave. in response to a report of a physical altercation in the street with weapons, police said.
A caller reported the incident to dispatch after seeing several men attacking another man on the street using a baseball bat and glass bottle, police said.
Responding officers arrived to find the 20-year-old victim bleeding profusely with head trauma.
The victim received treatment at the scene and was transported to a trauma center for further medical care.
Police did not locate any suspects involved in the incident and do not know if the incident was gang-related.
