FREMONT (KRON) – A water main broke near an elementary school in Fremont Wednesday morning, according to officials.
The water main break was reported around 8 a.m. near Hirsch Elementary in the 40000 of Chapel Way, according to the Alameda County Water District.
A leak detection was completed and crews are at the scene working to determine the cause of the break.
Officials said that it could be a cracked pipe, but that has not yet been confirmed.
Once they an investigation determines why the main broke, then crews can repair it.
No property damage has been reported so far.
