A physical altercation between a young girl and boy that happened on a city bus Wednesday was caught on camera.
It reportedly happened on a Soltrans bus in front of Benicia Middle School and quickly made traction on social media.
In the 52-second video clip, a young girl wearing a black shirt and pink camo pants is seen throwing punches at a boy who apparently is seated towards the back of the bus.
The girl eventually ends up walking away and gets off the bus as a crowd begins to form in the back.
Another young boy apparently follows the girl but does not get off the bus.
“The girl just walked onto [the] bus without paying or even riding and began to hit the young man… this is definitely not the first time this happened…” the viewer who sent the video to KRON4 said.
In the last few seconds of the video, the camera zooms in on the boy who apparently was hit in the fight.
Another girl can be heard saying in the background, “Don’t touch her. If you touch her, it’s over.”
The boy seemingly nods his head in agreement and says “right.”
Parents expressed dismay about the altercation and were disappointed they weren’t notified about the incident.
The principal of Benicia Middle School and the district superintendent did not reply to repeated requests for comment.
