SWANTON, OH (WCMH) — After she was suspended from riding the bus because she was caught bullying another student, one dad made his daughter walk to school as punishment.
In a now viral Facebook post, Matt Cox, describes why he is punishing his 10-year-old daughter.
“Let me make this extremely clear: Bullying is unacceptable,” Cox says in the video.
Cox says in the video that for the second time this year, his daughter was caught bullying another student on the bus.
When his daughter tells him he’ll have to take her to school, Cox says he told her that wasn’t going to be the case.
So he made his daughter walk five miles to school, in 36 degree weather.
“I know a lot of you parents are not going to agree with this, but that is alright. Because I am doing what I feel is right to teach my daughter a lesson, and to stop her from bullying.”
Since being posted Monday, Cox’s video has more than 15 million views and has been shared more than 338,000 times.
