The Golden State Warriors are getting ready for Game 2 of their postseason journey and they looked fantastic in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Clippers.
An outing in which Steph Curry ran the show dropping 38-points on his way to becoming the NBA’s all-time leader in postseason threes, passing Ray Allen.
The other storyline, the back and forth between Kevin Durant and Patrick Beverley.
The Clippers guard made it a point to be aggressive and try to irritate KD. The night ended with both players getting ejected in the 4th-quarter.
“I mean, in the moment it was cool, but just the reaction after the game I don’t want coach, or the organization or my teammates upset with me because of some **** that I did. I don’t want to get in the way of what’s going on out on the floor and I think that was a huge distraction. I don’t want that to be a part of this series. I just want to play,” Kevin Durant said.
Still, Durant put up 23-points in a 121-104 Warriors win.
And that sets the stage for Monday night’s showdown.
Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Oracle Arena.
