Police in North Carolina are investigating a weekend incident where an officer placed a young man in a chokehold.
Video of the incident was posted to Facebook.
After prom, Anthony and his sister stopped at the Waffle House in Warsaw for food. Police were called to an argument with Waffle House wait staff and then the incident happened.
From one angle, you can see even hands were in the air.
“I was pretty much trying to scream for air and to breathe because he was poking my throat so that I pretty much gasp when I got aggressive with him. Because you are choking,” Anthony Wall said.
The big question is whether this chokehold was legal.
The district attorney’s office is investigating alongside the Warsaw Police Department.
And while Wall agrees that he took things too far inside the Waffle House, he says what happened outside could have been prevented.
“Your hands should have never been around my neck, have my hands in the ear,” Wall said.
Wall was arrested after the struggle and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
