Vigil held for Gilroy students killed in car accident

GILROY (KRON) — A vigil is underway for two Gilroy school district students killed in a suspected DUI accident Tuesday night.

The three 18-year-old students, Yesenia Mendoza Pina, Yolanda Jiminez and Sara Williams were passengers in a car that flipped, landing into a concrete drainage ditch on Leavesley Road.


Mendoza and Jimenez will be remembered Friday evening at Mount Madonna High School.

A separate vigil will be held for Williams on Monday.

24-year old Joseph Vasquez Flemate was also killed in the accident.

The driver of the car, Anthony Imbronone, is still in the hospital. He faces DUI and manslaughter charges.
