SAUSALITO (KRON) — This year, Halloween is on a weekend, and that is stirring up a lot of excitement.
Sales are up at stores across the Bay Area. So, which costumes are flying off the shelves?
It’s that time of year where people try to figure out what to wear.
“I am going for a leprechaun,” one shopper said.
“My colleagues and I want to do something funny,” another shopper said.
Silly or scary – often it’s a dilemma when it comes to deciding upon a Halloween costume.
In a super store in Sausalito, there also seemed to be an extra element of excitement. This year Halloween is on Saturday.
“I can stay up late, eating candy,” young shopper Luke Ryan said. “And sleep in the next day.”
Ah, yes, a weekend – no rushing to bed, no rushing to school, just a day to kick back and consume a lot of candy, if you choose.
“I love dressing up,” another shopper said. “I am going as a clown this year.”
The store manager said superhero costumes flew out the door this year.
