SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A vigil was held Monday night for the South San Francisco police officer who was hit in the head with a skateboard.
Officer Robby Chon is in critical condition at a local hospital. However, doctors treating Officer Chon remain optimistic and say he is showing signs of recovery, police said.
The vigil started at the South San Francisco Police Station at 7 p.m.
Chon was attacked on Thanksgiving Day while responding to a report of an irate man near businesses on Grand Avenue.
