SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A police beating victim caught on a viral video was detained in  a joint operation between the FBI and San Francisco police on Friday night.

The house where the raid is happening is at 23 Teddy Ave. in the city’s Visitacion Valley area. SFPD and the FBI are still serving search warrants at the home, police said.

Neighbors on tell KRON’s Jeff Bush that Stanislav Petrov has ties to the house seen being raided by the FBI and SFPD Friday evening.

On Nov. 12, 2015, the 29-year-old Petrov, who allegedly had stolen a car, was beaten by two Alameda County deputies with batons. The video that was released sparked an investigation about whether they used excessive force on the man.

Neighbors also tell Jeff Bush that this is also the house where a man was shot early Friday morning, and Petrov was reportedly present.

But the FBI and SFPD will not confirm the Petrov connection.

A shooting happened on that block earlier Friday morning at around 2 a.m. No word on if it is related to the raid on Friday evening.

The person involved in the shooting has life-threatening injuries.

San Francisco police would only confirm it is an “ongoing law enforcement operation,” and there is still police activity in the area.
