Vallejo (KRON) Police are still looking for the person who shot and killed a senior from Jesse Bethel High School in Vallejo today. The teen’s body was found at a skate board park directly across from the school.

The parents of the victim identified him as Max Rusk.

“It’s a nightmare in the day time that you hope you can wake up from, but you won’t,” the victim’s father told KRON.

At this time police are not saying if there are any suspects in the shooting.

Earlier today, police swarmed the Vallejo neighborhood near school on reports of a gunman near campus.

The campus, located on the 2000 block of Ascot Parkway, was placed on a temporary lock down, according to campus officials. The lock down was lifted shortly after 1:30 p.m.

Emergency Medical crews to the scene at 11:57 a.m. but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene, police said.

Police searched the area for the suspected shooter. One student posted messages on Twitter confirming police activity surrounding the school and that his class has been on lock down for about an hour.
