VALLEJO (KRON) — Vallejo police are searching for the shooter or shooters responsible for gunning down a 19-year-old man in broad daylight Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 1:29 p.m. at Oakwood Avenue and Springs Road, outside a liquor store next to Gonzalez’ Mexican Restaurant.
KRON4 News sources say they believe the victim was shot in the head. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died.
The suspect shooter dropped his wallet when fleeing the scene, and officers have the identification of the suspect, according to authorities.
Officers from multiple agencies and K-9 Units are currently on scene searching for the shooter.
Officers searched the area but were unable to find a suspect, who was described as a Hispanic man in his late teens or early 20s with dark, puffy hair and a thin build, standing roughly 5 feet 5 inches tall.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, white t-shirt and blue jeans.
