SAN FRANCISCO (KRON)—In spectacular fashion, the Blue Angels graced the San Francisco skyline with a world class flyover to cap another mind numbing 4-hour airshow.

In unison, the fighter jets wow spectators lined up along the Marina green, eyes and cameras glued to the sky, gazing on at the amazing acrobatics with every pass.

An mother and her 4-year-old son from Larkspur showed up three hours before the airshow for a prime spot to catch the action.

“Think it’s just his dream of the airplane, fast and so close and it’s like a lifetime opportunity for him,” said Larkspur resident Kaori Sandhu.

The Breitling Jet team from France dazzled the crowd as well at times twisting and turning just 15 feet apart.

“It’s a nice show, you know, seeing them fly and stuff,” said private first class Jason Sanchez with the U.S. Marines Corps. “It’s pretty crazy stuff.”

This is a sense of pride for Sanchez in town for Fleet Week, visiting from his home base in San Diego.

“Oh, it’s awesome its awesome. It’s nice seeing people out here in San Francisco that usually don’t see the military often, be able to see them and come out and support us.”

A celebration of precision, speed and tremendous coordination, the U.S. Coast Guard and the mighty C1-30 also big attractions.

For some, a yearly tradition that never gets old.

“If you haven’t made it out here, you’re missing a great show and there’s different types of people everywhere, its just, its a blast,” one Bay Area resident said.

The best part is we get to do it all over again Sunday afternoon.
