BAYTOWN, Texas (KRON) — A Texas cafeteria worker may be the best spokesperson for her school’s food.

She has managed to lose 100 pounds over the last year thanks to mostly eating cafeteria food.

Tammy McRae used to weigh 260 pounds but now serves up grilled cheese, bananas, broccoli, and chicken pot pie to a waiting line of curious and hungry kids.

After the birth of her second child, she carried the extra weight around with her for 17 years.

In Sept. 2015, she started taking cues from her own cafeteria menu, eating the breakfast and lunch every single day.

She said with the smarter decisions she began to make, the better she felt about herself.

The lunch lady now 100 pounds lighter, serving up pot pie with positivity, her recipe for success.
