(KRON) — New images released Wednesday show the kidnapping of the adult son of Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, according to CNN.
Twenty-nine-year-old Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar was one of 10 to 12 men abducted from an upscale restaurant in the resort Mexican city of Puerto Vallarta on Sunday.
The images are in black and white.
Investigators believe the druglord’s son was taken by a rival drug gang called the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
It has been gaining ground on El Chapo’s drug business since he was caught and jailed again.
Experts believe it is the latest in a string of attacks on “El Chapo” Guzman’s family.
