A couple of NFL stars were in town Saturday to help a Fremont high school.
KRON4’s Will Tran was there last night when Super Bowl champion and Colts running back Robert Turbin returned to his alma mater, Irvington High School, to host his basketball charity game.
This year he brought with him one of the biggest names in the NFL and sports, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.
For the second straight year, Turbin had his charity basketball game to raise money for his former high school and charities that he’s passionate about.
This year it was even bigger, with activities happening all day long.
There was a meet-and-greet, where fans got to interact with Wilson and Turbin, face painting, music, and of course the basketball game.
People got to see the two football stars show off their skills against Irvington’s varsity basketball team.
The event was a huge success, raising $10,000 dollars.
Being the stellar competitor that he is, Turbin’s already thinking about next year’s game.
