SANTA CLARA (KRON) — Now that Super Bowl 50 has ended, what happened to the soccer field near Levi’s Stadium?
KRON’s Vicki Liviakis talked with the soccer coach about the field situation.
In the shadow of Levi’s Stadium, under giant posters of the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers, the Santa Clara Youth Soccer Park was used for VIP parking.
This coach figures the turf may be unrecognizable.
Soccer coach Steve Robertson, an outspoken opponent of the conversion, said he is doubtful that the field can be ready this spring.
The soccer league protested and even filed suit against the city.
Right now, the kids are being given alternate practice facilities.
