LOCKEFORD (KRON) — It is not all the time that gas station robbers get away without causing any harm.
There was an unusual attempted robbery last Monday afternoon in Lockeford near Sacramento.
Mohammed Siddique has owned the Tower Food Mart near Highway 88 since 2007. Siddique was taking a break while sitting down at the register.
That is when a man and woman, caught on surveillance video, entered the store.
They immediately began making threats and demanding cash.
Siddique said the woman was armed with a gun and the man had a knife. Siddique explains that he pulled out a golf club, and that is when the robbers fled.
He followed them out the door to try and get a license plate number.
The robbers sped off before he called the police.
The case is still being investigated.
