SAN JOSE (KRON) — A San Jose man has been arrested in connection with the July homicide of David Moglen, a Foothill College professor, according to police.
Police arrested 28-year-old Eddie Ruiz on Oct. 7 in Los Altos Hills. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on murder and attempted robbery charges.
Moglen, 37, was shot at around 10 p.m. on July 28 in the area of Willow and South First Streets.

Since 2004, Moglen taught economics at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose and Foothill College in Los Altos Hills.
He also taught for four months in 2005 at De Anza College in Cupertino and Mission College in Santa Clara from 2001 to 2005.
“Professor Moglen was highly regarded and respected by his peers and his students. He will be fondly remembered by those of us at EVC for the care and respect with which he treated his students,” Evergreen Valley College president Henry Yong said in a statement released days after the homicide.
