HONOLULU (MEDIA GENERAL) – A jarring clip of surveillance video is making the rounds on social media Wednesday after a Hawaii shopkeeper was placed in a chokehold during a Monday robbery.

The Honolulu Police Department posted the video of the robbery late Tuesday, which shows a young male assailant grab the victim from behind and place her in a chokehold. A second assailant is seen running behind a counter to take money from the cash register.

After the victim was rendered unconscious, the assailant let her go and she fell limp to the floor. According to HPD, the victim, a 76-year-old woman, was hospitalized with a serious head injury from her fall. A customer walked into the store, found the shopkeeper bleeding on the floor, and called 911.

The video already has more than 67,000 views and has been shared more 2,300 times. According to Media General affiliate KHON-TV in Honolulu, HPD is looking for three suspects, the two shown on surveillance footage and a third who acted as a lookout.

KHON also reported this was the second time in three days that store was robbed. In the first incident, two masked men entered the store and got away with cash. No one was injured in that incident.
