SAN JOSE (KRON) —  It should come as no surprise that the drought has made water scarce for wildlife.

And the Silicon Valley Wildlife Center in San Jose is reporting a spike in the number of urban, backyard encounters. In fact, many of the coyotes, foxes and other animals at the center are thought to have run into trouble in their search for water. And in a MyKRON4 story, a mountain lion was recently spotted in a Gilroy backyard

KRON 4’s Rob Fladeboe spotted a thirsty-looking coyote on the road not far from some homes in San Jose’s East Foothills.
