PITTSBURG (KRON) — Child sex trafficking is on the rise in the Bay Area, according to law enforcement.
Girls between 11 and 19 years old are being sold by pimps for sex.
The people exploiting these young girls are using social media to lure them away from home and their safety nets.
On Friday, KRON4 met with an East Bay police investigator who is on the front lines fighting child sex trafficking.
And she wants parents to know how they can prevent this from happening to their kid.
