(KRON) — Scattered showers are moving into the Bay Area bringing rain for Sunday and Monday.

Expect increasing clouds late Saturday night with a chance of showers in the North Bay Sunday morning. There is a chance of showers moving through the Bay Area on Sunday with much cooler temperatures.

This could impact events taking place in San Francisco this weekend including the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival and the Giants game in AT&T Park.

FORECAST: San Francisco Bay Area Weather

Light rain is expected in most areas, but drivers are warned to drive carefully because of slick roads.

Oil tends to build up on roadways during the first rain of the season.

“Roads are going to be extremely slippery,” National Weather Service forecaster Bob Benjamin said. “Sometimes those roads can be as slick as ice.”

Monday will be mostly cloudy. There will be a chance of showers in the morning and in the afternoon.
