Video: Quadcopter4 shows drought’s effect on Bay Area reservoirs

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — After four consecutive years of drought conditions, California’s reservoirs are very low, and that includes those in the Bay Area.

KRON’s new Quadcopter4 recently received clearance from the FAA to use the unmanned aircraft to record videos for news purposes.

Last week, KRON took it to four Bay Area reservoirs to see just how low the water levels are, starting in the North Bay at Lake Sonoma in northern Sonoma County.

Next, Quadcopter4 headed to Santa Clara County’s Anderson reservoir near Morgan Hill before heading to the Calero reservoir, just south of San Jose.

Finally, the quadcopter ended its journey in Cupertino at the Stevens Creeks reservoir.
