SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A man who was caught on video yelling racial slurs and throwing punches at a BART passenger has been identified by police.
“We have successfully identified him and we will be moving forward in seeking a prohibition order to ban him from the system,” BART Police said.
The video was taken Monday night at 10 p.m. on the Richmond Line going south to Fremont.
The man in a blue shirt got on at the Coliseum station, according to passengers.
He then got involved in a verbal altercation with a man sitting down.
The video shows the man using inappropriate language and yelling racial slurs at the man sitting down.
At one point in the video, the man is seen throwing a punch at the other man.
The video stops at the Union City Station when the alleged aggressor got off the train.
The individual who took the video posted it on Facebook.
Facebook has since taken the video down.
