PITTSBURG (BCN) — Pittsburg police have identified the victim of a botched robbery that turned deadly at a massage parlor Sunday night as 29-year-old Li Huajin.

Huajin was fatally shot by a suspect who attempted to rob the Super Massage business at 156 Atlantic Ave. in Pittsburg, according to police.

Huajin, a Pittsburg resident who worked at the massage parlor, was found suffering from a gunshot wound when officers responded to the scene at 8:20 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Officers learned that a suspect entered the business, demanded money and then was involved in a scuffle with employees that led to Huajin being shot and killed, police said.

The suspect fled the scene and has not yet been located, according to police.

Pittsburg police Capt. Ron Raman said today that investigators are actively working leads in the case. No further details were provided.
