SAN JOSE (KRON) — Firefighters extinguished a two-alarm house fire in San Jose early Tuesday morning, according to fire officials.
The fire broke out at around 2:27 a.m. at a residence at 73 Pala Avenue, authorities said.
A person passing by noticed smoke coming from a roof of a house so he altered the residents to get out and call 9-1-1.
While fire crews were on their way, they called for a 2nd alarm because they got reports that multiple people could be inside the house.
Four adults and two children were able to make it out of the house without injury.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire by 3:04 a.m.
Authorities say the house is not a total loss, but it has roof damage and will be out of service for a while.
7 people living in the house are now displaced.
The Red Cross is helping with temporary housing and food for the residents.
