OAKLAND (KRON) — This morning firefighters were at the scene of a fire at an Oakland school.
The two-alarm fire broke out around 5:30 a.m. in the 3600 block of Webster Street, according to the Oakland Fire Department.
Flames engulfed the building, but crews were able to get the fire under control and protect surrounding homes.
Crews are still at the scene keeping the situation under control and monitoring hot spots.
Officials are calling the damage a “total loss.”
