REGIONAL (KRON) — Cathryn Couch believes in the power of healthy food to help people heal.

That is why the professional chef launched the community project.

It is a nonprofit that transforms teens into chefs who prepare organic meals for low-income people battling cancer and other serious health crises.

Since 2007, the program has trained more than 2,000 young volunteers and provided more than 450,000 meals to residents of Sonoma, Alameda and Marin Counties.
