Video: New Jersey workers think they hit Powerball jackpot, but ticket was outdated

(KRON) — At 8 p.m. Wednesday night, someone may be $1.5 billion richer.

Many people fantasize about quitting their jobs the second they win the Powerball jackpot.

This was almost a reality for some people in the East Coast last weekend.

Restaurant workers in New Jersey believed they won the Powerball jackpot, but they realized the numbers were from a previous drawing.

The jackpot last Saturday was at $900 million. They would have each received a cool $22 million each.
