(KRON) A hot air balloon ride in Napa ended in a very unusual location Tuesday morning.

The balloon unexpectedly landed on a thin strip of land along Devil’s Slough in Napa County. 17 passengers were in the basket when the balloon touched down in an area of ponds and sloughs.

A CHP helicopter in the area captured the video in this story.

There was vehicle access where the balloon landed so another CHP helicopter was called in to airlift the tourists off the slough banks to a safe location.

No word on why the balloon had to make the emergency landing. None of the passengers were injured.
